Tabernil presents an antiparasitic spray formulated for the control and prevention of external parasites in ornamental birds. Designed specifically for small and medium-sized species such as canaries, budgies, goldfinches, and pigeons, its formulation combines tetramethrin and piperonyl butoxide to achieve a fast and persistent insecticidal effect. The product acts on ectoparasites responsible for common problems such as pecking, restlessness, feather loss, and anemia due to heavy infestations.
The spray format allows for even application to the plumage and hard-to-reach areas, enabling practical treatment of live birds from a safe distance. In addition to direct treatment of the animals, it can be used to disinfect cages, perches, and accessories, helping to break the cycle of re-infestation. For effective control, a regular application protocol is recommended: initial treatment and repeat treatments every 5 days for animals, and weekly disinfection of facilities.
The combination of tetramethrin (a contact pyrethroid) with piperonyl butoxide (a synergist) enhances the action against insects and mites, increasing effectiveness even against populations with some degree of tolerance. Its formulation includes excipients and perfume that facilitate spraying and leave a mild residual aroma in treated areas.

- Shake the container well before use.
- Place the bird in a quiet and safe place; avoid sudden movements.
- Keep the spray approximately 50 cm away from the animal.
- Briefly spray onto the bird's body for a few seconds, avoiding eyes, beak, nostrils and mucous membranes.
- Repeat the application every 5 days as needed or according to the breeder/veterinarian's protocol.
- For disinsection of the environment (cages, perches, accessories), spray evenly once a week; let it act and ventilate before reintroducing the birds.
- After application in cages, remove food and water remains and rinse containers before use.
