The online sale of medicines to the public is subject to specific regulations (Royal Decree 870/2013, of 8 November for human-use medicines, and Royal Decree 666/2023 of 18 July for veterinary medicines), so the conditions of sale vary depending on whether the order includes medicines or not.
Specifically, the sale of medicines is carried out exclusively within the Canary Islands and always under the supervision of a pharmacist who, if you wish, will offer you personalized advice for correct dispensing and use.
Once the order has been placed, it will be reviewed to assess the suitability of dispensing, especially in the case of requests for unusual quantities or very frequent orders. If necessary, we will contact you to provide information about the treatment and ensure that the medication is being used correctly.
Furthermore, medicines must be identified with the name of the authorised presentation and their information must correspond literally with the current leaflet authorised by the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products .
Following the criteria of the Canary Islands Health Service, we cannot provide any additional information, so if you need more information you can contact us through the different means we offer to advise you.
Furthermore, the regulations also require that medicines be kept in conditions that ensure that they do not suffer alteration or loss of quality.
For shipments to the Canary Islands, if the weight does not exceed 5kg, the shipping costs will depend on the amount of the order:
- Orders up to 34,99 €, shipping 7,50 €
- Orders +34,99 €, free shipping

If the shipment is for the rest of Spain and does not exceed 5kg , the shipping costs will depend on the amount of the order:
- Orders up to 54,99 €, shipping 12,50 €
- Orders +54,99 €, free shipping
If the shipment is to Portugal (Mainland) or the Balearic Islands and does not exceed 5kg , the shipping costs will depend on the amount of the order:
- Orders up to 69,99 €, shipping 17 € to Balearic Is., 18€ shipping to Portugal
- Orders +69,99 €, free shipping
There is a minimum amount for orders depending on their destination and content; see details and delivery times on the shipping summary page .
There is the option to buy and collect with priority at our pharmacy located in Finca España (La Laguna). Remember that there is easy parking very close to the pharmacy .
When your order is ready, we will send you an email with a code. You can then come to our pharmacy to pick up your order: go to the back area, where you will find numbered lockers where you can pick up your order without queuing; you will simply have to enter the code that we sent you by email.
When we have an order ready, we inform the recipient by email as soon as it leaves our pharmacy.

At Farmaten online we accept several forms of payment:
- Payment by card, through our virtual POS.
- Payment with PayPal.
- Payment with Bizum.
- Payment by bank transfer.

The return costs will be borne by Farmaten in the event of sending a defective or incorrect product.
IMPOSSIBILITY TO DELIVER AN ORDER
In the event that an order is returned to Farmaten because all delivery attempts have been unsuccessful or the collection period set by the carrier has expired, the customer must pay the costs for a new shipment of the order, which will be calculated by Farmaten depending on the volume and weight of the package and the destination, and informed to the customer for acceptance.
