Kawu Ado Quatro S 70 ml
All product information

Product formulated to protect the paw pads of dogs and cats from rubbing, abrasion and moisture.

It combines antiseptic and film-forming properties with extracts that promote hydration and support of the plantar epidermis.

The polymer matrix present in the formula creates a uniform film that acts as a physical barrier, while formaldehyde and picric acid provide contact antimicrobial activity to reduce the risk of superinfection in areas with mild wear.

Extracts of Centella asiatica and Aloe vera help maintain hydration and skin integrity, supporting surface repair processes.

Suitable for animals that perform intense physical activity (working dogs, hunting dogs, agility dogs and canine athletics), for rehabilitation cases due to minor pad injuries, and for geriatric animals with more fragile pads.

As a topical product, it complements a comprehensive care strategy that may include sports supplements, sports nutrition, or vitamin supplements in athletic animals, but it does not replace such nutritional products or veterinary assessment.

The application forms a protective film in a few minutes and the duration of the effect depends on the level of activity, contact with water and the intensity of rubbing; typically the effect is maintained for several days under normal walking conditions and without prolonged immersion.

It is not a food product; it is not compatible with keto or vegan diets. It is also not a multivitamin or a protein shake: its function is cutaneous and preventative or supportive for superficial lesions, focused on local resistance and recovery.

There is no specific anti-doping certification for this product. For regulated competitions, it is advisable to check the regulations of the relevant federation and consult the team's veterinarian.

In animals intended for professional competition, the care strategy should be integrated with sports nutrition and, where appropriate, with sports supplements approved by the veterinary team.

Technical composition and safety profile: contains formaldehyde and picric acid in low concentration; these components provide antimicrobial activity but may cause skin sensitivity in predisposed individuals.

Monitoring is recommended and, in case of signs of adverse reaction, suspension and veterinary consultation.

- Quick and easy application with integrated applicator.

- It complements care protocols for sporting dogs along with sports nutrition and sports supplements, without replacing them.

What type of animals is it suitable for?

Indicated in dogs and cats for protection and treatment of irritated or worn paw pads; especially useful in working, sporting or elderly animals and in rehabilitation processes of minor damage.

How long does it take to work and how long does the effect last?

The protective film forms within minutes. Its duration varies depending on activity and water exposure, typically lasting for several days under walking conditions and without prolonged immersion.

Can the animal lick the area after application?

Immediate ingestion is not recommended. After application, the film needs a few minutes to dry; premature licking reduces effectiveness and may increase the risk of ingesting the ingredients.

Can it be used on open or deep wounds?

It is not appropriate for deep wounds, extensive ulcers, or advanced skin infections. In such cases, veterinary evaluation and treatment are necessary before any topical use.

Does it cause allergies or sensitization?

It contains formaldehyde and picric acid, which may cause reactions in sensitive individuals. It is recommended to monitor the skin and discontinue use if erythema, edema, or persistent itching appears, consulting a veterinarian.

Is it compatible with skincare products or nutritional supplements?

As a topical product, it is compatible with most skin care protocols; it does not interfere with vitamin supplements, protein shakes or multivitamins administered orally, although it does not replace sports nutrition or systemic support measures.

Is it certified for use in competitions?

It does not have specific anti-doping certification. For regulated competitions, it is advisable to check the organization's regulations and consult the veterinarian of the canine or feline athlete.

How should it be stored?

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight and out of reach of children and untreated pets. Avoid extreme temperatures.

1. The applicator is pressed directly onto the plantar pad.

2. The product glides over the entire surface, depositing a uniform layer with a varnish-like effect.

3. After application, wait a few minutes for the film to form and avoid immediate licking.

4. For irritated pads: apply once a day for one or two weeks.

5. For preventive use before periods of exertion (hunting, racing, competitions): apply every 2–3 days for the three weeks prior to the start of the activity.

6. In case of continued exposure to water or loss of the film, repeat the application according to clinical need and activity.

- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

- For animal use only.

- Avoid ingestion and contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of eye contact, rinse with plenty of water and consult a veterinarian.

- Do not apply to deep wounds, extensive ulcers or severely infected skin without veterinary evaluation.

- Contains formaldehyde and picric acid: potential sensitizer and irritant; monitor for signs of skin reaction.

- Test on a small area if you have a previous history of dermatitis or skin allergies.

- Consult a veterinarian if the animal is pregnant, lactating, or has a history of poisoning.

- It does not replace professional veterinary diagnosis or treatment.

- For competitions, check specific regulations and consult the veterinary team if necessary.
