1. Cut a length of dental floss approximately 40-50 cm.
2. Wrap most of the floss around the middle fingers of both hands, leaving 2-3 cm free for cleaning.
3. Tension the floss with the index fingers and thumbs.
4. Gently insert the floss between the teeth with a sawing motion.
5. When reaching the gingival edge, curve the floss around the tooth and gently slide it towards the subgingival margin until feeling resistance.
6. Repeat in all interdental spaces, using a clean segment of floss for each tooth.
