How long can it remain applied?

Protection is maintained as long as the dressing remains intact, adhered, and dry. It should be removed and replaced if it becomes loose, soiled, or excessively wet; the exact duration depends on the location and amount of exudation.

Can it be used on infected wounds?

It is not suitable for wounds with signs of infection (erythema, heat, pus, increased pain). In these cases, medical evaluation and specific treatment should be prioritized.

Is it suitable for sensitive or allergy-prone skin?

The adhesive is medical-grade acrylic; however, in cases of a history of contact dermatitis from adhesives or other components, prior evaluation is recommended. Discontinue use if irritation or an allergic reaction occurs.

1. Open the sterile envelope and remove the dressing.

2. Removal of the protective papers to expose the adhesive surface.

3. Placement centered over the wound or incision, ensuring complete coverage of the area to be protected.

4. Apply gentle pressure to the edges to secure the adhesive; check for peripheral sealing.

5. Periodic review: assess dressing integrity and presence of exudate; replace if it is dirty, detached or saturated.

6. Final removal by carefully peeling from one edge, following the hair growth line where appropriate, to minimize discomfort.
