Is it suitable for deep wounds or extensive burns?

No. It is indicated for superficial and medium-sized postoperative wounds. For deep wounds, severe burns, or injuries with necrotic tissue, evaluation by a healthcare professional is recommended.

How long can it remain in place?

It depends on the amount and location of the exudate; under normal conditions, the pad can remain in place for 3 to 7 days if it is not saturated and there are no signs of infection. Clinical evaluation should determine when to change it.

Does it protect against bacteria, viruses, and fungi?

It acts as a physical barrier against bacteria and external dirt. It is not an antimicrobial or virucidal agent, so it does not eliminate microorganisms present in the wound.

Can I shower without removing the dressing?

Yes. The waterproof film allows exposure to water during showering and the use of shower gel or bath gels without losing its protective function.

Is it reusable or rechargeable?

No. It is a sterile, single-use product and should not be reused.

Is it suitable for sensitive or allergy-prone skin ?

The adhesive is hypoallergenic, designed to reduce skin reactions, but in cases of a history of allergies to medical adhesives, caution is advised and a healthcare professional should be consulted.

How should it be disposed of?

As it is a used medical device, it must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations for medical waste or in household waste following the instructions of the healthcare facility.

1. Wash and carefully dry the affected area, ensuring there is no residue of cosmetic or disinfectant products.

2. Open the sterile package and remove the dressing, avoiding touching the central pad.

3. Place the dressing over the injury with the pad in direct contact with the wound.

4. Ensure adhesion by gently pressing the edges until a continuous seal is verified.

5. Keep the dressing in place until it needs to be replaced due to saturation of the pad, presence of excessive exudate, or clinical indication.

- Do not use on deep wounds, severe burns, wounds with necrotic tissue or visibly infected lesions without prior assessment by a health professional.

- Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not apply to wounds that connect to deep body cavities.

- Remove and reassess if intense redness, increased pain, foul-smelling discharge, fever, or signs of inflammation appear; in these cases, contact a healthcare professional.

- Keep the product in its original packaging until ready to use; store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light.

- Do not reuse; dispose of after a single use according to local regulations.

- In patients with high mobility or hairy areas, it is recommended to evaluate the fixation; in cases of poor adhesion conditions, another solution will be considered or the skin should be prepared according to clinical indication.

- During intimate hygiene or use of products such as bath gels and deodorants, ensure that these do not compromise the adhesive edge; the film is waterproof but adhesion can be affected by oily residue.
