All product information

The dressing combines clinical functionality and easy handling for the treatment and protection of superficial wounds (cuts, abrasions and small postoperative incisions).

The multi-layer structure includes a polyethylene mesh contact layer that prevents adherence to the wound bed, an absorbent viscose pad for exudate management, and a non-woven fabric support that provides softness and breathability.

The synthetic rubber-based adhesive, which is hypoallergenic, provides a secure fit on intact skin without causing significant damage upon removal.

The self-adhesive design and rectangular format of 10 x 8 cm facilitate adaptation to common body contours, promoting uniform contact and reducing folds that could compromise the seal.

The dressing acts as a physical barrier against external contamination, reducing the risk of entry of environmental agents such as bacteria and fungi; it is not a disinfectant or an antiviral agent, so it does not inactivate microorganisms by itself.

The effective duration of protection depends on the exudate and the location: in wounds with low exudate it can be maintained between 24 and 72 hours, changing it sooner if the compress becomes soaked or signs of infection appear.

Manufactured for use in home and professional settings, it comes in individual sterile packages that facilitate hygienic handling.

It is designed to be integrated into the home medicine cabinet alongside hygiene and body care products (bath gels, shower gel, deodorants) and in pharmacy sections that include oral hygiene (toothbrushes, mouthwashes) and intimate hygiene, as a complement to care and first aid routines.

The dressing meets the requirements of a medical device intended for the local treatment of superficial wounds; its manufacture follows standards applicable to medical devices.

Its use should be framed within clinical criteria and, in case of doubts or signs of complication, assessment by a health professional is recommended.

What type of wounds is this dressing indicated for?

Indications: Superficial wounds such as cuts, abrasions, and small postoperative incisions with low to moderate exudate. Not indicated for deep wounds, wounds with active infection, or extensive burns without clinical evaluation.

How long does it protect the wound?

The physical barrier can remain effective for 24 to 72 hours on low-exudate wounds. It should be replaced sooner if the dressing becomes damp, detaches, or shows signs of infection.

Does the dressing eliminate bacteria, viruses, or fungi?

It does not eliminate or inactivate microorganisms. Its action is physical: it isolates the wound and reduces contamination by bacteria and fungi from the environment. It is not a disinfectant or an antiviral product.

Is it suitable for sensitive or allergy-prone skin?

The adhesive is formulated as hypoallergenic, but a reaction may occur in individuals with a history of hypersensitivity to adhesive components or synthetic rubber. Prior evaluation is recommended for those with a history of allergies.

Can it get wet during showering or use of bath gel?

The dressing is resistant to light splashes; however, the adhesive's integrity may be compromised by water, shower gels, or products such as deodorants. In areas exposed to immersion or prolonged contact with water, the need for replacement after hygiene should be assessed.

Reusable or disposable?

Single-use product: not reusable or refillable. Must be disposed of after removal following local healthcare waste regulations.

Does it comply with health regulations?

Manufactured in accordance with applicable medical device standards. It bears markings compliant with European regulations for this type of product; for specific certification and batch details, please consult the manufacturer's documentation.

Can it be used on children?

It can be used on superficial wounds in the pediatric population, assessing size and level of exudate; monitoring for any signs of irritation or rejection is recommended.

1. Preparation: The perilesional area is carefully cleaned and dried; cleaning can be done with saline solution or a compatible cleanser recommended by the healthcare professional.

2. Opening: The dressing is removed from its sterile packaging under hygienic conditions.

3. Placement: The compress is positioned centered over the wound, adapting the dressing to the skin contours to ensure uniform adhesion of the edges.

4. Fixing: Once placed, surface pressure is distributed to eliminate wrinkles and ensure contact.

5. Control: The condition of the compress is monitored; replacement is carried out according to exudate, presence of contamination or professional indication.

6. Removal: When removing the dressing, peel it off slowly and parallel to the skin to minimize trauma. Dispose of the used dressing as medical waste.

- Do not apply to wounds with clear signs of infection (progressive erythema, heat, foul-smelling suppuration) without medical evaluation.

- Avoid in patients with known allergies to adhesive components (synthetic rubber) or dressing materials.

- Keep in its sterile packaging until ready for use; do not reuse under any circumstances.

- Change the dressing if the compress is saturated, detached, or contaminated.

- Consult a professional if you experience redness, increased pain, fever, or any signs of infection.

- Avoid prolonged exposure to heat sources or contact with solvents, shower gels or deodorants that may affect adhesion.

- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: there are no specific contraindications for use on superficial wounds; if in doubt, consult a healthcare professional.

- Storage: Store in a dry place away from extreme temperatures and direct radiation; respect the integrity of the sterile packaging.
