The bandages are formulated with medical-grade silicone gel that acts on the scar by increasing epidermal hydration and improving skin elasticity, promoting collagen reorganization and reducing erythema, raised areas, and tightness.
Designed for recent hypertrophic scars and for the prevention of excessive scar tissue formation after wound closure, suturing or dermatological procedures, they combine the physical advantages of the silicone dressing (soft adhesion, occlusive effect and light pressure) with a water-resistant physical barrier.

Can they be applied to open wounds?
No. They are only indicated on closed scars and intact skin; in open wounds or wounds with discharge, medical treatment and closure of the lesion should be prioritized.
How long does each application protect?
They provide continuous skin protection as long as they remain in place. They are typically worn for extended periods (day and night) and should be changed or cleaned according to the instructions; the manufacturer recommends that the same dressing can be used for up to 7 days.
Does the dressing eliminate bacteria, viruses, or fungi?
No. They do not have specific antimicrobial action; they are not designed to eliminate microorganisms. In the presence of a skin infection, medical treatment is required.
Can you get them wet or shower with them on?
Yes. They are water-resistant and maintain adhesion during body hygiene, including shower gel, although adhesion may be reduced with prolonged exposure to high temperatures or repeated friction.
How many times can they be reused?
Each dressing can be reused for several days (up to approximately 7 days), provided it is cleaned and kept in its protective case; effectiveness may decrease with the accumulation of dirt or loss of adherence.
Are they safe for sensitive or allergy-prone skin?
Medical-grade silicone has a low incidence of allergies, but in case of hypersensitivity to the material or persistent irritation, it is recommended to discontinue its use and consult a healthcare professional.
Can they prevent keloid formation?
They contribute to the prevention and treatment of hypertrophic scars; in lesions with keloid predisposition, a multimodal approach supervised by dermatology or surgery may be necessary.
Do they need a prescription?
They are generally marketed as a non-prescription medical device, although their use in complex scars should be evaluated by a professional.
1. Preparation: The area must be clean, dry, and free of any traces of cream or antiseptic solutions that could affect adhesion. It is preferable to wait until the scar has completely epithelialized.
2. Placement: Remove the protective film from the dressing and place the silicone gel in direct contact with the skin, ensuring that it covers the entire scar surface without folds.
3. Regular use: Keep the dressing on for several hours a day, and can be worn day and night to maximize the occlusive and moisturizing effect. The integrated sun protection is effective while the dressing remains in place.
4. Cleaning and care: Gently remove for cleaning; wash with warm water and mild soap, rinse, and allow to air dry before replacing. Store in its protective case between uses.
5. Renewal: assess the adhesion and condition of the dressing daily; replace with a new one if it loses adhesion or becomes contaminated; the manufacturer indicates useful use of the dressing for up to 7 days.
- Apply exclusively to intact skin and closed scars; avoid in the presence of active infection or exudate.
- Discontinue use if signs of allergic reaction, contact dermatitis or persistent localized erythema occur.
- It does not replace medical treatment for scars with pain, increased size or secretion; assessment by a healthcare professional.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Store in its protective case and in a dry place, away from sources of intense heat and direct sunlight.
- Do not use on mucous membranes or in body cavities.
- Consult a dermatologist or plastic surgeon in cases of extensive keloids or when combined treatment is required.
- They are formulated without antimicrobial intent; in the presence of infection, prioritize microbial control.
