When can pregnancy be detected?

The test detects hCG concentrations as low as 10 mIU/mL, allowing for early pregnancy detection, often before the first significant missed period. Accurate detection depends on individual hCG levels.

How long does it take to get the result?

The result can be read between 5 and 10 minutes after adding the reagent. It should not be interpreted after this time due to the risk of an unreliable reading.

How are the lines on the cassette interpreted?

The control line confirms the validity of the assay. The appearance of the test line, regardless of its intensity, indicates the presence of hCG above the test threshold.

Can it give a false positive?

Yes. Treatment with exogenous hCG, certain medical conditions (including menopause or some cancers), or contamination can produce false positives. Confirmation by quantitative laboratory testing and medical evaluation is recommended.

Can it give a false negative?

Yes. If the hCG concentration is below the test threshold (for example, very early after conception) or if the sample collection technique is poor, a negative result may be obtained. It is recommended to repeat the test 48 hours later if pregnancy is suspected.

Is it better than a urine test?

Capillary blood often offers earlier detection and greater sensitivity compared to some urine tests; however, both options are useful. In case of doubt, confirmation by quantitative laboratory testing is recommended.

What drug interactions are relevant?

Drugs containing hCG or specific hormonal treatments may interfere. Other medications do not usually affect immunochromatographic detection, but the product information should be consulted for specific cases.

Is the kit reusable?

No. The cassette and lancet are for single use only and must be disposed of according to healthcare waste regulations.

Where should it be stored?

Store between 4°C and 30°C in its original packaging, protected from moisture and light. Do not freeze.

-Preparation: It is recommended to wash and dry your hands and disinfect the puncture area on the fingertip.

-Sample collection: Using the included sterile lancet, a superficial puncture is made in the fingertip to obtain a drop of capillary blood.

-Transfer: The drop is collected using the supplied capillary tube and placed in the well of the test cassette.

-Addition of the reagent: The drops of buffer reagent are dispensed into the well according to the manufacturer's instructions to facilitate the migration of the sample.

Development and reading: Wait between 5 and 10 minutes and interpret the result by observing the appearance of the control line and, if applicable, the test line.

Do not interpret the result outside of the specified time.
