Mustela journey in the discovering on to improve health begins in 1950, when Paul Berthome joined forces with a pharmacist to create Expansciene Laboratories. After talking with mothers and after they researched the baby market, they realized that there was no soap for baby skincare and decided to create a 2in1 product with cleansing properties and softening the skin qualities. At that time it was the first cleansing lotion designed especially for babies in Europe.
