Flexipro Plantar Pad Size S
All product information

The size S plantar pad uses EPITHELIUM 26®, a patented silicone gel (thickness 2.2 mm) formulated to replicate the cushioning function of the natural plantar pad. The ultra-thin fabric + non-slip base allows its use inside closed footwear without appreciably altering the biomechanics of the step, promoting load redistribution over the forefoot and minimizing localized pressure points. The material is breathable, and the anatomical design keeps the pad positioned in the metatarsal area during walking or prolonged support.

Indicated mainly for metatarsal pain, burning sensation in the forefoot, calluses, and corns due to overload or thinning of the physiological plantar pad. The device is useful for various profiles: recreational and fitness athletes needing protection during training or short running sessions; individuals in rehabilitation processes due to metatarsal overload; older adults with progressive loss of the plantar pad; and users who spend a lot of time standing in work environments.
The pad can be used preventively to avoid the formation of calluses in prolonged standing activities or as an aid in treatment and recovery phases after episodes of mild metatarsalgia. In competitive athletes, the product is not a substance subject to doping control, as it is an external orthopedic product; however, it does not replace specific medical measures indicated by a specialist in cases of complex pathology.

Its design and maintenance are aimed at preserving the properties of the gel: washing with water and neutral soap and air drying without exposure to direct heat sources to avoid degradation. Symmetrical use (both pads) helps maintain alignment and balanced load distribution. Clinically, it complements conservative interventions such as physical therapy, shoe adaptation, and custom insoles, but does not replace medical evaluations or prescribed treatments for severe conditions.

Its main benefit is pain relief in the forefoot, protection against friction and pressure, reduction of calluses and corns by redistributing the load. Non-slip and breathable material facilitates its use in sports or casual footwear. Its profile makes it interesting in recovery when control of support and prevention of metatarsal injuries are part of the comprehensive performance program.

Is it suitable for people who practice sports?

Yes. It is designed to reduce pressure on the forefoot during walking and activities with moderate impact; it can be used in fitness sessions and recreational training. It does not replace custom insoles for high performance.

Can it be used with any type of footwear?

It fits better in closed footwear with sufficient volume in the forefoot. In extremely tight footwear, it may affect comfort.

How should it be cleaned and stored?

Washing with water and neutral soap and air drying are the recommended procedures; avoid direct heat and harsh detergents to preserve the gel.

How long does a pad last?

Duration depends on use and maintenance; the material maintains functional properties with correct use, but it is recommended to periodically check for wear and deformation.

Is it safe for people with diabetes or neuropathy?

In people with diabetes, arthritis, polyneuritis or peripheral neuropathy, prior consultation with the medical team and frequent monitoring of skin condition during use is recommended.

Can it be used on wounds or ulcers?

No. Its use on open wounds or active ulcers is not advisable.

Does it cause allergic reactions?

It contains silicone and a polyamide/elastane blend; if there is a known allergy to any of these materials, its use is not recommended.

Is it an anti-doping certified product for competitions?

Not applicable. As it is an external orthopedic device, it is not subject to anti-doping certification; however, athletes should confirm the specific regulations of their federation if there are any restrictions on orthoses or external supports.

Directions for use or instructions
1. Before first use, the product must be washed with water and neutral soap and left to air dry.
2. Symmetrical use of both pads helps to evenly distribute weight and provides stability while walking.
3. Placement is done by sliding the foot into the garment as if it were a slipper; the elastic fabric adjusts the pad to the metatarsal area. Use with stockings or socks is recommended to reduce direct skin-gel contact.
4. To preserve the properties of the gel, regular cleaning should be done with water and neutral soap; avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, or direct heat.
5. Periodic checks of the integrity of the gel and fabric allow detection of wear and assessment for replacement.

  • Specific warnings: indications and precautions, technical advice
  • Do not use in case of known allergy to silicone, polyamide or elastane.
  • Prohibited for use on open wounds, ulcers or areas with active infection.
  • In people with diabetes, peripheral neuropathy, inflammatory arthritis, polyneuritis or venous insufficiency with ulcers, consult a healthcare professional before starting use and regularly monitor skin condition.
  • If new pain, persistent redness, ampoules or other dermatological reactions appear, it is advised to discontinue use and consult a professional.
  • Avoid exposing the pad to direct heat sources (hairdryers, radiators) and to aggressive cleaning products that may degrade the gel.
  • Do not sterilize in autoclave or subject to procedures that modify its physical structure.
  • Any serious incident related to the device must be reported to the manufacturer and the competent health authority.
  • Does not replace professional diagnosis or treatment in case of complex foot pathologies; may be part of conservative treatment protocols and recovery plans along with physiotherapy and sports nutrition measures.
