Normomar Oticlean combines purified water and seawater in an isotonic solution with menthol microcrystals designed for the hygiene of the external auditory canal.
Its main action is mechanical; the directed irrigation softens and removes earwax and epidermal debris that can accumulate at the entrance of the ear canal and promote the formation of plugs.
The presence of menthol crystals provides a noticeable feeling of freshness after rinsing, without leaving any greasy residue.
From a microenvironmental perspective, the physical removal of organic material reduces the load of substances that facilitate microbial proliferation. This product helps to decrease conditions that favor bacterial and fungal growth in the external ear, although it is not marketed or declared as an antiseptic or virucidal agent; therefore, it should not be considered a substitute for specific treatments for infections.
When dealing with the ear, application should be limited to the indicated use and compatible with the clinical condition of the ear canal. Do not use if you have ear pain, discharge, ear infection, otitis externa, a perforated tympanic membrane, a tympanostomy, or a tympanic membrane drain. Avoid use if you have balance disorders, a history of ear surgery, or if there is a foreign body or hard and/or obstructive earwax; in these cases, a healthcare professional should be consulted.
Do not use on children under 2 years of age. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; in case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water. Do not insert objects (cotton swabs, tweezers, toothpicks) into the ear canal before or after application.
