Bioderma Cicabio Arnica+ combines specific active ingredients to accelerate the disappearance of bruising and relieve discomfort associated with contusions and bumps.
The formula integrates Arnica montana flower extract, Antalgicine™ technology, apigenin, zinc sulfate and glycerin, with a profile designed to act on local inflammatory processes, cutaneous microcirculation and peripheral nerve sensitivity.
Arnica montana extract provides traditional decongestant and anti-inflammatory properties in the topical field, while Antalgicine™ enhances the reduction of the sensation of pain by acting on mediators involved in pain and local hypersensitivity.
Apigenin contributes anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity that helps modulate the post-traumatic tissue response.
Zinc sulfate adds a superficial antibacterial and astringent action, useful for minimizing the risk of mild skin superinfection without replacing specific antiseptic measures when necessary.
Glycerin provides hydration and improves skin tolerance, preventing skin dryness in affected areas.
Its texture is absorbed gradually, allowing a gentle massage that promotes local drainage and reabsorption of the hematoma.
Main indications: hematomas, bruises (ecchymosis), swelling and superficial discomfort following minor blows or trauma.

- Promotes rapid reabsorption of hematomas and reduction of swelling after minor bruises.
- Reduces ecchymosis (bruises) through decongestant action and improvement of microcirculation.
- Local analgesic action associated with Antalgicine™, which helps to reduce the sensation of pain and discomfort.
- Superficial antibacterial action provided by zinc sulfate, aimed at reducing non-pathogenic superficial skin flora and minimizing the risk of secondary colonization.
- Hydrates the skin and improves its tolerance thanks to glycerin; formulation designed to minimize irritation.
- Suitable texture for local massage, facilitating drainage and mobility of the affected tissue.
How long does it take to see results?
The first effects on the sensation of swelling and pain can be noticed within hours; the visible reabsorption of a hematoma is usually seen within days, depending on the extent and depth of the blow.
Can it be used on open wounds or near the eyes?
It is not indicated for use on open wounds, mucous membranes, or the periocular area. In these cases, its use is contraindicated until complete healing.
Does it have activity against viruses or fungi?
The formulation has surface antibacterial action; it is not designed or claimed for antiviral or antifungal activity.
Is it suitable for children and babies?
Its application is not recommended in premature babies; for infants and young children, prior consultation with a health professional is suggested.
Can it be combined with other topical treatments?
The combination with other topical products should be evaluated based on their ingredients. If using other treatments prescribed by a healthcare professional (e.g., topical anti-inflammatories or specific antimicrobials), compatibility should be checked.
Does it stain clothes or skin?
The texture is formulated to be absorbed gradually and not leave significant greasy residue; however, in some cases caution may be required with light-colored garments until complete absorption.
Is it suitable after cosmetic procedures or interventions?
It may be useful to minimize bruising and minor discomfort after non-invasive procedures; in invasive or surgical procedures, the instructions of the professional who performed the treatment should be followed.
- Apply as soon as possible to the affected area with a gentle massage until the cream is completely absorbed.
-The recommended frequency of use is one or two applications daily, repeating until clinical improvement is observed.
-In case of signs of infection, severe pain, functional disability or persistence of the hematoma, evaluation by a health professional is suggested.
-Avoid applying to broken skin with active bleeding.
- For external use only.
- Do not apply to open wounds, mucous membranes or the periocular area.
- Avoid use in premature babies.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- If signs of a local allergic reaction occur (intense erythema, persistent itching, edema), discontinue application and consult a healthcare professional.
- It does not replace medical attention in cases of extensive bruising, trauma with functional impairment, fractures or suspected deep damage.
- In the case of concomitant treatments with topical or systemic anti-inflammatories, the compatibility should be assessed by the healthcare professional.
- Store in a cool, dry place, protected from heat sources and direct light.
- There is no evidence of prolonged protection against microorganisms; the antibacterial action is limited to superficial skin flora and does not confer a disinfectant effect comparable to prescription antiseptics.
