The dressing features a multi-layered structure designed to protect superficial wounds (cuts, scrapes, abrasions) without interfering with the healing process. The outer polyurethane film forms a waterproof barrier against water and dirt, while its breathable matrix allows water vapor to pass through, reducing the risk of maceration. The pad in contact with the wound combines a polyethylene mesh that prevents adherence to the tissue and an absorbent viscose layer that manages light to moderate exudate. The medical-grade acrylic adhesive ensures reliable fixation with easy removal that minimizes irritation and waste.
This dressing does not incorporate antimicrobial agents and is not designed to eliminate bacteria, viruses or fungi; its function is physical: to prevent the entry of contaminants and create a stable environment for tissue repair.

What types of wounds is it indicated for?
Dressing indicated for superficial wounds: minor cuts, scrapes, abrasions, and superficial post-procedure wounds with light to moderate exudate. Not indicated for deep wounds, partial-thickness to severe burns, or infected wounds.
Does the dressing eliminate bacteria, viruses, or fungi?
No. It does not contain antimicrobial agents. It acts as a physical barrier to reduce the entry of microorganisms and dirt, but it does not eliminate or inactivate pathogens.
How long does the waterproof protection last?
As long as the dressing remains intact and adhesive, it can maintain a waterproof barrier, typically for 48 to 72 hours. The actual duration depends on the amount of exudate, the location, and the activity level.
Is it okay to get wet in the shower?
Yes; the polyurethane film is water-resistant and allows for short showers while maintaining protection, as long as the edges remain sealed.
Is it reusable or rechargeable?
No. This is a sterile, single-use product; it should not be reused or refilled.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. The medical-grade acrylic adhesive and non-adherent pad are formulated to reduce irritation on sensitive skin, although reactions may occur in cases of individual hypersensitivity.
Does it have health certification?
Yes. It is marketed as a medical device in accordance with current regulations, with CE marking that guarantees its manufacture and quality control.
It is recommended to clean and disinfect the wound before application, using saline solution or antiseptic according to clinical protocol. The dressing is sterile and comes in its individual packaging; open the package and remove the device without touching the absorbent pad. Place the dressing centered over the wound, ensuring the pad is in direct contact with the wound; then gently press the edges to obtain a uniform seal. The integrity of the dressing should be checked periodically; if maceration, loss of adherence, increased exudate, or signs of infection are observed, the dressing should be replaced and a healthcare professional consulted. Remove the dressing slowly and parallel to the skin to minimize tension and potential damage to the surrounding tissue.
- Do not use on deep wounds, severe burns, wounds with necrotic tissue or clear signs of infection.
- If redness, increasing pain, increased exudate, unpleasant odor, or signs of systemic infection appear, remove the dressing and consult a healthcare professional.
- Keep in its original sterile packaging until ready for use.
- Single use product; do not reuse or sterilize again.
- Avoid use in patients with a known history of allergy to polyurethane, acrylates or viscose; if a skin reaction is suspected, discontinue use.
- Dispose of according to local regulations for healthcare waste or containers that have contained biological material.
- It does not replace antimicrobial treatments or debridement when these are necessary; clinical judgment should be followed for wounds with risk or presence of infection.
