MEDICAL Burn Plasters combine a hydrogel-impregnated gauze with a transparent polyurethane backing to provide a moist wound healing dressing for small burns.
The hydrogel provides controlled hydration and a cooling effect that reduces the initial painful sensation, while the polyurethane support acts as a water-resistant physical barrier, limiting the entry of dirt and reducing the risk of contamination by external agents.
The transparent design facilitates visual monitoring without the need to remove the dressing and minimizes manipulation of the wound.

- Pain relief: the hydrogel provides a cooling effect and reduces immediate pain sensation.
- Promotes healing: creates a moist environment that supports cell migration and re-epithelialization.
- Water-resistant protective barrier: reduces dirt penetration and exposure to external agents.
- Transparency for visual control: allows monitoring of the lesion without removing the dressing.
- Sterile and single-use: minimizes handling and risk of contamination during application.
- Compact format: dimensions suitable for small burns, practical for home first-aid kit.
What types of burns is it indicated for?
Indicated for minor burns, typically first-degree and small superficial second-degree burns, where pain relief, protection, and a moist environment that promotes healing are sought. It does not replace medical evaluation for extensive or deep burns.
How long can it remain in place?
Protection is maintained as long as the dressing remains intact and without leaks. The actual duration depends on the exudate and the integrity of the adhesive; the dressing should be changed according to clinical judgment or if there are signs of contamination, detachment, or increased pain.
Does it protect against bacteria, viruses, or fungi?
It acts as a physical barrier that reduces the entry of contaminants and bacteria by contact. It does not contain active antimicrobial agents, so it is not attributed with direct activity against viruses or fungi.
Can it get wet during use?
The polyurethane backing is water-resistant; swimming or brief showers do not compromise its function as long as the dressing remains applied and intact.
Is it suitable for children?
It can be used in children for minor burns compatible with the product indication. In infants and young children, as well as in burns on extensive or delicate areas, evaluation by a healthcare professional is advisable.
Is it reusable?
No. It is supplied in a sterile single-use sachet; reuse is not indicated.
1. Open the sterile sachet at the marked area.
2. Remove the dressing from the sachet, maintaining the sterility of the field.
3. Remove the protective papers to expose the area with hydrogel and the adhesive film.
4. Apply the dressing centered over the lesion, with gentle contact to ensure adhesion of the polyurethane film.
5. Periodic visual observation can be performed without removing the dressing; replacement should be done if there is loss of integrity, signs of infection, or increased pain.
- Indication limited to minor burns and small areas; in extensive, deep burns, or if there is airway involvement or systemic signs, urgent medical attention is necessary.
- Discontinue use and consult a professional if signs of local infection appear (increased redness, warmth, purulent discharge, foul odor) or allergic skin reaction.
- Avoid application on wounds with active bleeding or necrotic tissue without prior evaluation.
- Check history of sensitivity to polymeric components or hydrogel; allergic reactions are rare but possible.
- Not reusable; each dressing is single-use and must be disposed of according to local healthcare waste regulations.
- Antimicrobial protection is not an intrinsic property of the dressing; in high infection risk situations, the need for products with antimicrobial activity and professional intervention will be assessed.
- Consult the leaflet and manufacturer’s labeling for information on applicable marking and certifications.
-4.5 x 6.5 cm; pack with 3 units per package.
-Transparent polyurethane support; sterile hydrogel gauze in contact with the lesion.
