At Farmacia Finca España we have the Microcaya Multidermascope MDS 1000 skin analyzer. This is a device that allows you to quickly and easily measure different skin parameters.

The MDS 1000 has three probes (elasticity, hydration and pigmentation), a sebum cartridge and a camera. The combination of the probes and the cartridge displays the analysis results in two ways: by a number and by a line that lights up to a greater or lesser extent.

Elasticity probe

With this probe, which takes about six seconds to take the measurement, we know if the skin has the elasticity corresponding to our age.

Placing it around the eyes and using a little suction, it gives us a value that we will compare with the table.

This probe helps us in recommending anti-aging cosmetics.

Hydration probe

This probe tells us the degree of hydration of our skin.

It can be used on any part of the body and by simply placing the probe on the skin we obtain the result.

This probe helps us recommend moisturizing cosmetics, both facial and body.

Pigmentation probe

This probe measures the level of melanin immediately, thus helping us to recommend sunscreens and also depigmenting treatments.

By applying the probe to an area that is not very exposed to the sun, such as the inside of the wrist, it indicates the level of melanin and the recommended sun protection factor, which, together with the user's preferences, will allow us to find the sunscreen that best suits their needs.

It is also very useful for recommending depigmenting treatments. By taking measurements over time on the spots, we can know if the depigmenting creams are being effective.

Tallow cartridge

The sebum cartridge helps us determine whether the skin is dry or oily.

Two measurements are taken, one in the T zone (forehead and nose) and another in the U zone (cheek and chin). The result takes ten seconds.

This information helps us to recommend sebum-regulating cosmetics, both facial and hair.

Camera

The dermoanalyzer also has a camera that can be used to obtain a wide variety of information. Thanks to it, we obtain enlarged images of the skin that allow us to better see any blemishes, imperfections, pores or wrinkles.

In addition, having polarized light allows us to observe layers.
